My Beautiful Savior

I think we tend to picture Christ as either a helpless little baby or a weakened victim, but I want to share with you that he is powerful and majestic. He is seated at the right hand of God and we cannot fathom his beauty and glory. He wasn't born in a manger just to hang out on earth for a while; he came with a purpose, he came to die for you. The blood that he shed on the cross, claimed victory over death. This season, remember that Christ will come to earth again. He will appear in all of his glory. You may choose today not to acknowledge that baby Jesus was the son of God, but on that day when he appears, you will bow and declare him Lord.

"...and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength." Revelation 1: 13-16

"Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords." Revelation 19: 11-16
